PEARCY — The seventh grade A and B teams for the Bryant White Lady Hornets of Bryant Middle School swept their games from their counterparts from Lake Hamilton on Saturday.
The A team won[more] 26-18 while the B team prevailed 15-10.
The seventh grade team includes Lauren Allen, Faith Brown, Erica Crone, Skylar Davis, Hunter Delaney, Samantha Finney, Hailey Gentry, Jaela Hunter, Ashley Jimerson, Tristann Johnson, Sierra Jones, Alyssa Linam, Miranda Mayfield, Shayla McKissock, Carolyn Reeves, Hannah Shelby, Sharayah Wallace, Julianna Ward, and Lara White.
“I was pleased with both seventh grade teams,” stated Lady Hornets coach DeAnna Ward. “They hustled after every ball and put lots of pressure on Lake Hamilton, forcing numerous turnovers.”
In the A game, Davis led the way with 12 points. White added 6 to go with three rebounds. McKissock contributed 4 points while Ward and Hunter finished with 2 each. Ward grabbed four rebounds and Hunter three.
The B team was paced by Johnson’s 5 points, which included 3 of 4 from the free-throw line. Gentry pitched in with 4 points. Jones, Hunter and Delaney had 2 each.
The Lady Hornets’ rebounding effort was led by Jimerson and Wallace who each had three.The Lady Hornets were set to return to action this Tuesday at Cabot South.
