LITTLE ROCK — The Bryant White Hornets of Bryant Middle School advanced to the championship of the[more] Panther Pride Classic at The Anthony School with a 33-29 win over Rose City of North Little Rock on Wednesday night.

The Bryant White girls are set to play for the girls championship at 5:30 p.m., against The Anthony School.
Jake Scoggins led the Hornets with 18 points and Cameron Murray added 10.
“Cameron gave us a spark in the third quarter,” said Hornets coach Heath Long. “Jake was 6 for 6 from the line.
“We did a much better job of handling pressure than on Monday night,” he added. “We had a little lull in the second quarter where we turned the ball over some and gave them some momentum. We did a good job of being mentally strong and not allowing that to rattle us, though. I’m proud of our guys. Now we have a chance to play for the tournament championship.”
Bryant White rushed out to an 11-4 lead by the end of the first quarter. Rose City whittled the margin to 17-13 by halftime and got within 23-20 by the end of the third period.
