On Saturday, Jan. 26, the Bryant White Lady Hornets eighth and seventh grade teams of Bryant Middle School hosted their counterparts from Central Arkansas Christian and came away with[more] a pair of wins. The Lady Hornets won the eighth grade game 27-11 and the seventh grade contest, 31-19.
The Bryant White eighth grade girls include Jayla Anderson, Lindsey Butler, Mallory Curry, Katie Davidson, Jerrica Gray, Haley Holliman, Destiny Huffman, Colleen Johnson, Miranda Lawrence, Taylor Lindberg, Makayla Nguyen, Alexis Parsely, Briana Rutherford, Sarah Shepard and Abby Staton.
The seventh grade team includes Lauren Allen, Faith Brown, Erica Crone, Skylar Davis, Hunter Delaney, Samantha Finney, Hailey Gentry, Jaela Hunter, Ashley Jimerson, Tristann Johnson, Sierra Jones, Alyssa Linam, Miranda Mayfield, Shayla McKissock, Carolyn Reeves, Hannah Shelby, Sharayah Wallace, Julianna Ward, and Lara White.
Huffman led the eighth grade team with 11 points. Davidson had 6 and Butler 5. Holliman and Staton scored 2 each and Johnson 1.
Davidson and Butler each had four rebounds. Holliman, Parsley and Lawrence picked up three apiece. Huffman, Curry and Anderson collected two each.
In the seventh grade game, Davis paced the scoring with 14 points. White and McKissock scored 4 each, Brown 3 with Ward, Reeves and Jones adding 2 apiece.
White and Ward each gathered 4 rebounds. McKissock and Reeves had 2 each.
Both teams were set to host Cabot South on Tuesday, Feb. 1
