Bouncing back from their first loss since Nov. 14, the Bryant White Hornets eighth grade team of Bryant Middle School forged a 47-32 victory at the Bryant High School gym Tuesday night.
Myles Aldridge poured in 16 points and gathered 14 rebounds to lead the way. Austin Ledbetter added 9 points and Trey Miller 8.
“We didn’t play very well but got a victory over a solid program,” said Hornets coach John Harrison. “Myles is playing hard and doing a really good job at rebounding the ball. Gavin Brunson played physical also so we are getting better play inside.
“Trey Miller is a great shooter and we got him open early and he knocked down a few shots,” he noted.
Now 9-2 on the season, the Hornets are set to play in the Maumelle Classic this weekend. They’ll take on Mabelvale on Friday at 6 p.m., then play Jacksonville on Saturday at 3 p.m..
“It’s a big weekend,” Harrison said. “We play against some of the best teams in Central Arkansas.”
