Imanii Jones served for 12 points and Faith New for 10 more as the Bryant White Lady Hornets eighth grade team of Bryant Middle School captured its first win of the young 2014 volleyball season on Tuesday night. The Lady Hornets defeated North Little Rock, 25-16, 25-16.
“Everybody got to play,” noted Lady Hornets coach DeAnna Ward. “We had a couple of errors with so many girls subbing in and out but, for the most part, they played good.
“We need to get more consistent with our serves,” she added. “Our front row players are getting stronger.”
Meagan Chism led the attack with three kills. Kristen Boyle and Faith Stone came through with two each.
Now 1-1 on the season, Bryant White hosts Morrilton on Tuesday, Sept. 9, in its next outing.
