Marvin Moody scored on the last play of the game as the Bryant White Hornets eighth grade B team of[more] Bryant Middle School pulled out a 6-0 win over their counterparts from Lake Hamilton on Tuesday night.
The play started out as a pass but quarterback Landon Smith couldn’t find an open receiver.
“He broke several tackles and everyone stopped because they thought he was down,” recounted Hornets coach Brad Smothermon. “Then everyone piled onto the quarterback to stop him and Moody came up to the quarterback and Landon handed him the ball after time expired.”
Moody took the ball and raced 40 yards for the winning touchdown.
