The Bryant High School, freshman and middle school volleyball teams will be scrimmaging tonight at the Bryant Middle School gym in a pre-season showcase for family and fans.
Admission is $3 per person and the action will begin at 5:30 p.m.
The event will begin with a scrimmage featuring the Bryant (White) Middle School eighth grade team. The Bethel (Blue) Middle School eighth grade team will scrimmage at 6 followed by the freshman team at 7. The high school team’s scrimmage starts around 7:30 p.m.
The teams will play for 20 minutes or two games to 15, whichever comes first.
The Lady Hornets varsity will be back in action in a benefit jamboree at Benton on Thursday. At 5:30 p.m., they’ll scrimmage Pulaski Academy at the Benton Junior High gym then, at 6, Mount St. Mary Academy. After a break, they’ll return at 7:30 to take on Little Rock Christian followed at 8 by a game against Fountain Lake as they move to the high school arena. Bryant and Benton will play at 9 to cap off the evening.
The season-opener for the BHS team will be at home on Tuesday, Aug. 23, against Hot Springs Lakeside.
The Bryant freshman team and the Bryant Blue team are set to officially open the season at Cabot White on Monday, Aug. 22. Bryant White’s first match is at Lake Hamilton on Thursday, Aug. 25.
