JONESBORO — Bryant’s Trevor Ezell, Korey Thompson and Brandan Warner are at Nettleton[more] High School today as the 10th annual Xtra Innings Summer Classic gets underway with Pro-day workouts for the top 88 high school baseball underclassmen. This afternoon and evening, the players, who have been divided into four teams will begin tournament games at Arkansas State University’s Tomlinson Stadium.

Ezell and Warner were drafted by the Diamond Jacks, coached by Conway’s Noel Boucher, Brookland’s Preston Despain and Pottsville’s Wes McCrotty.
Thompson was picked by the Dirtbags, coached by Keith Kilgore of Rogers Heritage, Dustin Wolcott of Crossett and Joe Allbritton of Mayflower.
Each team will play a 10-inning game this evening then two seven-inning games on Tuesday.
In 2012, the Classic was attended by over 50 college coaches and pro scouts from a five-state area, including the Major League Scouting Bureau.
