The Bryant Black Sox and Benton McClendon's will play tonight at 7 o'clock at Bryant High School Field[more] to make up a recently postponed Zone 4 contest in Senior American Legion action.
The Black Sox, in contention for a share of the league championship, need to win in hopes of catching co-leaders Sheridan and Texarkana, which will be playing a doubleheader tonight in Texarkana. The top two seeds for the Zone 4 tournament will come from those three teams, along with coveted first-round byes.
The Zone tourney, which begins this Friday, will determine which two teams represent the league at the Senior Legion State Tournament in North Little Rock starting Friday, July 27.
Along with Bryant, Benton, Sheridan and Texarkana, the Zone teams include Little Rock Express and the Little Rock Post 1 Blues.
