Central Arkansas Development Council Bryant Senior Activity Center at Bishop Park will receive[more] the designation of Wellness Center on Wednesday, June 19 at 10 am.
The Arkansas Department of Human Services/Division of Aging and Adult Services will present the center with the wellness certification. The center has incorporated all seven elements of wellness into their regularly scheduled program, including physical wellness, intellectual wellness, social wellness, environmental wellness, vocational wellness, spiritual wellness and emotional wellness.
The Bryant Senior Activity Center is located at the Bishop Park Complex, 6401 Boone Road, #3. The program gives older adults support and encouragement to reach new levels of independence, fostering educational and emotional wellness for persons 60 and older. Activities include exercise, social interaction, nutrition, transportation services, recreational events, book clubs, computer training, and more.
