On Wednesday, April 10, at 1:40 p.m. officers of the Bryant Police Department were dispatched[more] to a robbery that had just occurred in the Bryant Wal-Mart parking lot.
The victim, Marie Romo, told Police that while she was waiting in the car for her mother, an unknown male came up to her open window and put a knife to her throat and told her he wanted all her money. She said that it took her by surprise so she just looked at him. She stated that he then pushed on the knife and asked if she thought he wasn't serious.
Romo said the suspect then reached inside the car and grabbed her bag out of the floorboard and her cell phone. Descriptions of the suspects and vehicle were given to Officers and surrounding agencies.

Bryant officers made a traffic stop on that vehicle and occupants Kurtis Zerr (22) and Sean Smith (27), both from Little Rock, matched the descriptions given by the victim and were brought to the Police Department for questioning by the Criminal Investigation Division. Both subjects, after being questioned, admitted to the robbery and were taken into custody.
