The Bryant Police Department has captured an escaped murder suspect without incident today near the Exxon station south of Interstate 30 at Exit 123.
Austin Hill, who has been charged with capital murder and aggravated robbery in Camden, had escaped from the Ouachita County jail last Wendesday, according to reports. He has now been turned back over to Ouachita County officials.
The search in Bryant began when a 1962 Ford Galaxy was found abandoned at the 123 exit around 8:15 this morning. It was believed that the car had been stolen by Hill in Camden.
According to the Bryant Police Department Facebook page, Hill was taken into custody by Police Chief Mark Kizer and Capt. J.W. Plouch.
