Ten players contributed to the scoring as the Bryant White Lady Hornets seventh grade team of Bryant Middle School raced to a 36-4 win over the Bryant Blue Lady Hornets of Bethel Middle School on Thursday night.

“The girls are doing a great job defensively so far this season,” said Bryant White coach Kenny Hays. “And our bench play continues to be strong. I am also proud of their effort in practice to try to get better each day.”
Bryant Blue coach Derek McGrew said, “We obviously played a much superior opponent in Bryant. They have an excellent team and could have scored as many points as they wanted.
“I was proud that we continued to play hard and not give up as the score got away from us,” he added. “This team is very inexperienced. They are a group of fine young ladies and we will learn from this and move on.”
The game wrapped up the pre-Christmas schedule for both teams. Bryant White, now 4-0, returns to action on Jan. 6, 2015, against Cabot South. Bryant Blue, now 2-1, will play next at home against Bryant White in a rematch on Jan. 12.
