Tierra Trotter scored 16 points to lead the Bryant White Lady Hornets seventh grade team of Bryant Middle School to a 40-23 win over Cabot South’s Lady Panthers on Saturday morning.
The Lady Hornets improved 7-0 on the season with the victory. They’re scheduled for a B game on Tuesday, Jan. 20, before taking on Cabot North in A and B games on Tuesday, Jan. 27.
Tyianna Robinson added 8 points, Celena Martin 7 for Bryant White. Ivory Russ pitched in with 4. Kinley Oholent and Madalynn Thompson had 2 each, Sierra Trotter 1.
“The team gave a great defensive effort,” said Lady Hornets coach Kenny Hays. “We have been doing a good job of turning defense into offense, which helps lead to balanced scoring.”
