The Bryant White Lady Hornets eighth and seventh grade basketball teams of Bryant Middle[more] School closed out the season at the Bryant High School gym with victories over the Lighthouse Charter School Lady Wolves.
Bryant White’s eighth grade team won 37-5. The seventh grade team, completing an 10-1 season, won 42-0.
In the eighth grade game, Destiny Martin led Bryant White with 7 points. Kennedy Harris and Kipperlie Davis added 6 each. Deja Rayford and Lauren Lessenberry finished with 4 apiece. Lania Ratliff, Reagan Blend, Alyssa Kubaiko, Ashlyn Privett and Abby Ostrem pitched in with 2 each.
The Lady Hornets ran out to a 15-0 lead by the end of the first quarter and held a 25-1 advantage at the half.
In the seventh grade game, Raven Loveless scored 10 points and Jasmine Daniels 9. Breleigh Simmons added 8, Kelly Williams 4, while Jalen Sparks, Maddie Stephens, Maddie Miller, Jackie Greenwood and Gabby Bonvillain picked up 2 each. Paige Adams hit a free throw.
“We finished the season 10-1 in ‘A’ games and 1-0 in ‘B’ games,” noted Lady Hornets seventh grade coach Kenny Hays. “The team worked hard and playedhard all year. I’m very proud of their effort and sportsmanship.”
