The Hometown Scholarship Program, presented by local Dodge dealers including Landers Dodge along with the Bryant High School Band have launched the 2009 charity fundraising campaign that generates scholarship funds for high school students. The Hometown Scholarship Program is part of Landers Dodge's continuing commitment to the hometown community.
The Bryant High School Band members are attending community events to request $5 donations in support of their Dodge Hometown Scholarship Program. With each $5 suggested donation, 100 percent of the proceeds go to scholarship and organization enrichment programs.[more]
Individuals who donate to the program may register to win an all-new 2010 Dodge Ram Heavy Duty truck and automatically receive a voucher to redeem a complimentary t-shirt at Landers Dodge. Plus community members are invited to enter to win a $10,000 scholarship at Landers Dodge.
"We encourage parents, families, neighbors and friends of the Bryant High School Band to support this program by providing a suggested $5 donation at local events such as home football games and other events throughout our community," stated Jan Patrick, Band parent president. "This innovative program creates scholarship money for our members to further their education, attend various programs and educational activities, and enhances the development of future leaders."
Now celebrating its seventh year, the Hometown Scholarship Program has raised more than $3.8 million for various high school organizations throughout the country. In 2009, the Dodge Hometown Scholarship Program hopes to raise more than $1.5 million nationally.
