EL DORADO — El Dorado, led by individual medalist Drew Moore, and Conway tied for top honors at the[more] 17th annual Simmons First Wildcat Invitational Tournament on Monday. Both teams finished with team scores of 317. Lake Hamilton was third at 327, just a stroke ahead of the Bryant Hornets in the 12-team tourney over 18 holes.
Moore carded a 74 to edge Benton’s Austin Eoff for the low round, individually. Chase Netherton of Conway was another stroke back at 76. Bryant was paced by Tyler Green’s 79.
Austin Harmon turned in an 80 for Bryant. Drew Castleberry finished at 84 with Chase Thornton at 85 and Ross Weaver carding an 89.
Sheridan was fifth as a team with a total of 336 followed by Fordyce and Benton at 340, Texarkana (351), Malvern (352), El Dorado JV (353), White Hall (360) and Arkadelphia (407).
The Hornets are set to return to competition at Conway on Monday, Aug. 20.
