Whitney Avra's third grade GT class from Bryant Elementary School sponsored the Summer Cereal Drive in conjunction with Tom Brannon and KTHV.
A total of 1,615 boxes were collected in a week. Seven truck loads were delivered on Wednesday, April 29, to the First Southern Baptist Food Pantry on Highway 5. All boxes will feed residents in Saline County throughout the summer.
The students attended the Golden Corral breakfast and received second place in their division.
Appreciation was extended to all the students, teachers and staff at Bryant Elementary, the parents, Channel 11, Golden Corral and Walmart (Bryant).
