October 4th was the 10th anniversary of the Bryant Civitan Club. To commemorate the event, Saturday, the group held a yard sale fund raiser in the Heartland Bank parking lot. The funds collected will be used for club projects.
The Bryant Civitan Club is a civic club that conducts community projects. According to Ann Hudson, a charter member, “The club has conducted over 50 projects. Most of these projects benefitted the disabled, homeless, or other individuals in need.”
The Bryant Civitan Club also sponsors a youth club at Bryant High School. Both groups have goals that promote community citizenship.[more]
Following Saturday’s project, the group met at the Bryant Chick Fil A for their anniversary celebration. Rita Cruz, the charter sponsor and mentor, brought cake and her congratulations.
The Bryant Civitan Club is currently conducting a membership campaign. If you are interested in being a community volunteer, contact Michael Ward at 744-1854. The club meets the second and fourth Monday of the month, at 6:15 for one hour, at the Bryant Senior Adult Center. All are welcome to attend.
The Bryant Civitan Club promotes and fully supports Civitan Services and its retail outlet. The club however, is not associated with it.
