On Monday, Nov. 22, the Bryant Blue seventh grade basketball teams from Bethel Middle School swept A and B games[more] against Bryant White from Bryant Middle School.
In the A game, Blue prevailed 25-16. In the B game, the final score was 17-4.
The Bryant Blue team includes Logan Allen, Gunnar Burks, Blake Carnahan, Drew Carnahan, Drew Castleberry, Daniel Darbonne, Tanner Ezell, Alex Falco, Nic Feeko, Lawson Fincher, Jordan Gentry, Nic Hardin, Devin Howard, Aaron Orender, Jacob Pipken, Grayson Ruple and Ethan Southard.
The Bryant White seventh grade team includes Zach Byars, Jacob Pratt, Jake Price, Chace Henson, Quentin Royal, Jayson Yeargan, Kannon Porter, Alex Shurtleff, Dylan Hurt, Trey Harris, Dagiin Carden, Kameron Guillory, Dylan Singleton, Zach Jackson, Dalton Mount, Jake Scoggins and Chandler Causey.
In the A game, Blue held a 7-4 edge at the end of the first quarter and a 13-7 advantage at the half. By the end of the third quarter, the margin was 23-14.
Gentry led the Bethel team with 9 points. Allen had 6, Pipken 5, Ezell 3 and Howard 2.
For Bryant White, Dylan Hurt led with 8 points and Jake Scoggins added 4.
In the B game, Hardin paced the winners with 9 points. Burks pitched in with 4, Orender and Southard 2 each. Byars and Price each had 2 for Bryant White.
The White Hornets are scheduled to return to action at The Anthony School in Little Rock on Monday, Nov. 29. The Blue Hornets compete in the Wildcat Shootout at Little Rock Episcopal Nov. 30 through Dec. 4.
