LITTLE ROCK — Jordan Gentry and Evan Lee combined for 19 points to lead the Bryant Blue Hornets eighth[more] grade team to a 32-28 win over The Anthony School Panthers at Episcopal Collegiate’s Wildcat Shootout Thursday.
The win improved the Hornets to 3-1 on the season going into a game with Rose City to wrap up pool play at the tourney today at 5 p.m. Semifinals and finals of the event will be Saturday.
Gentry finished with 10 points, Lee with 9 for the Hornets. Grayson Ruple added 5 while Tanner Ezell and Logan Allen pitched in with 3 apiece. Jacob Pipkin finished with 2.
Bryant Blue built an 11-6 advantage by the end of the opening period. Anthony rallied to within 13-12 at the half but scored just 3 points in the third quarter as the Hornets surged to a 21-15 lead going into the final stanza.
