CONWAY — After a narrow loss in the first game, the Bryant Blue Lady Hornets volleyball team from[more] Bethel Middle School surged to victories in the next two to take a 2-1 win over the Conway Blue Lady Wampus Kittens Monday night. The scores were 23-25, 25-12, 15-4.
“During the first game, we could not get a rally going and they had a girl serve 10 hard straight points,” recounted Bryant Blue coach Melissa Bragg. “We battled back but ended up coming up a little short.
“The second game, Britney Sahlman was a serving machine,” she continued. “She served points 6 to 16. The girls played really hard and they played together as a team. I am very proud of each and every one of them.”
In the third game, Skylar Harper served for points 4 through 8, and Kendall Selig finished by serving points 10 through 15.
Now 2-0, the Lady Hornets are set to host The Anthony School on Thursday, Sept. 1.
