“We were off our game,” said Bryant White coach DeAnna Ward. “We just didn’t play well. We couldn’t win the rally. We couldn’t string together any points. Bethel serves very strong and we had a hard time receiving it. When we got a good pass then our set or hit was off.
“We played better towards the end but it was too little, too late,” she added. “Kyla Baker served well, going 10 for 10 with four aces. Michelle Loness came in and helped with some good passes and was 7 of 7 serving. Raven Loveless had two kills and Maddie Miller led us in assists.”
In the B game, Bryant Blue served well too. Kaycee White had six aces and Lauren Brantley five. Dabbs finished with two aces and Hollan Pfautz one.
Dabbs came through with 13 assists as Macie Morton finished with a team-high four kills to go with a block. Lee, Ashley Cushing and Brantley produced two kills each. Abby Henson and Dabbs added one apiece.
For Bryant White, Kelly Williams and Alexis Hendrickson were both six of six on their serves. Jalen Sparks went 9 for 9 with two aces to go with a kill and a block.
“We started off strong but just couldn’t finish it,” Ward noted. “In the first set, Michelle Loness served points 15-24 with five of those on aces. She was also aggressive at the net with two kills.
