This is the first Bryant-Benton week for spring sports this year as teams from the two schools meet[more] in baseball, softball, boys and girls soccer and junior high and high school track over the next three days.
The events begin at Bryant Stadium today at 3:45 p.m., with the Bryant Junior Invitational track and field meet, which will include the BHS freshman team along with the Bryant Middle School, Bethel Middle School teams and their counterparts from Benton, along with several other area teams.
At 4 p.m., the soccer begins at Benton’s new turf field. The junior varsity girls will compete followed at around 4:30 by the JV boys. At around 5, the varsity girls match commences followed by the varsity boys match around 7.
At 5 p.m., the Hornets baseball team hosts the Panthers with a varsity game followed by a JV contest at Bryant High School Field. It will be the South Conference opener for both teams.
The action continues on Thursday when the Bryant High School track team makes its outdoor debut with the Bryant Invitational. Field events will begin at 3:45 p.m., followed by the running events at 4. Benton is scheduled to be one of the teams competing in the meet.
At 5 p.m., the softball teams meet to start their league slate. The varsity contest begins at 5 p.m., followed by the JV.
