The Bryant Blue Lady Hornets of Bethel Middle School will host the Bryant White Lady Hornets of Bryant Middle School in the final volleyball match of the season tonight starting at 4:30 p.m., with the seventh grade match. The eighth grade match will follow.
The Bryant Blue eighth grade team is coming in off a narrow defeat against Rose City on Thursday, Oct. 7, 25-22, 16-25, 9-15.[more]
The team includes Anna Blair, Julie Brazil, Nikki Clay, Brianna Davis, Haley Dellis, Mercedes Dillard, Katelyn Giffin, Sydney Gogus, Emily Henson, Devin Hester, Jamie Jamison, Madison Jones, Camille Langley, Mackenzie McEntire, Rachel Phillips, Rylee Phillips and Allysa Sturgeon.
“We are still working on getting our serves over and in bounds,” mentioned Lady Hornets coach Melissa Bragg. “It’s hard to win if you can’t serve.”
As it was, the top servers were Clay, Dillard and Phillips.
“I am proud of the girls,” Bragg added. “They worked well together and they weren’t afraid to get on the floor.”
