MORRILTON — The Bryant Blue Hornets seventh grade team of Bethel Middle School earned[more] a pair of wins against the Morrilton Devil Pups on Monday night.
In the A game, the Hornets eased to a 39-25 win. In the B game, it was a 23-6 Bryant Blue win.
Calvin Allen led the A team with 11 points. Caylin Allen added 10 and Desmond Duckworth 6. Hunter Handly and Jeffery Hastings each scored 4 while Derrick Blake and Chase Kincaid pitched in with 2 apiece.
The Hornets led just 5-4 after a quarter but gradually pulled away. It was 20-14 at the half then 31-18 going into the fourth quarter.
In the B game, Blake Pennington and Derrick Blake each had 6 points. Kincaid scored 5. Handly, Hastings and Caleb Dorsey scored 2 each.
The seventh grade team plays again on Monday, Nov. 21, at home against E-Stem.
