Mary Catherine Selig scored 24 points to lead the Bryant Blue Lady Hornets eighth grade team of Bethel Middle School to a 42-20 win over the Lighthouse Charter Lady Wolves of Jacksonville on Monday night.
Rachel Studdard and Ashlyn Thompson each added 6 points. Lauren Burnett, Meagan Lee and Kenya Rideout had 2 point s apiece.
The Lady Hornets built an 8-3 lead by the end of the first quarter and held a 16-8 advantage at the half. They took control of the game in the third quarter, which ended with Bethel up 30-10.
It was the final home game for the Lady Hornets, now 6-7 on the season. They complete their campaign on Thursday, Feb. 19, at Conway White.
