BENTON — Birch Tree Communities, Inc. will be hosting its 12th annual “EXPRESSIONS Art Show and Sale” Tuesday, June 9, from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Benton Event Center, 17322 I-30 North.
Over 200 original paintings created by adult Mental Health Consumers participating in Birch Tree Communities Expressive Arts program will be available for purchase. Profits from the sale of the art will go directly to the artists. There will be a cash bar and hors d’oeuvres along with live music by Wine and Roses. A live auction of several award-winning pieces will begin at 6:45. Tickets will be $10 at the door.
Birch Tree Communities, Inc. is a private nonprofit organization serving over 400 adults with serious mental illness throughout the state of Arkansas. One aspect of the Birch Rehabilitative Day Program is integrating artistic components into the Recovery process.
“Each year we showcase the accomplishments of our Members (Consumers) by presenting unique, powerful art created by unique, powerful artists,” said Birch Tree representative Stacey Kuchinski.
