LITTLE ROCK — Though some of the venues for post-season play this spring and next fall are still to be determined in a bidding process, the sites of Class 7A events have all but been established as[more] only one school bid on each sport.
After being in Van Buren last spring, the Class 7A State basketball tournament looks like it will be played at Rogers Heritage this spring.
The State swimming and diving championships appear to be headed to UALR.
In baseball, the lone Class 7A bid is by the Fort Smith schools. The lone bid for the State softball tournament has been submitted by Central Arkansas Christian to be held at the Sherwood Parks.
North Little Rock made the lone bid for this spring’s State soccer tournament and Conway has bid for the State track and field meet. As usual, Lake Hamilton will host the Meet of Champs and Cabot will be the site for the Decathlon and Pentathlon competitions.
In the fall, North Ark Community College in Harrison and Rogers have put in bids for the cross country championship in 7A. The Arkansas Activities Association will make the announcement of which bids are accepted on Thursday, Jan. 13.
Conway has submitted the lone bid for the State volleyball tournament in the fall.
