MAUMELLE — Kyle Thompson earned a first-place finish in the 152-pound weight division on Saturday to highlight the effort of the Bryant Hornets wrestling team at the Hornet Swarm Invitational Wrestling Tournament at Maumelle High School.
As a team, Bryant finished fifth in a field of 28 schools.
Ben Freeman turned in a third-place performance in the 126-pound division for Bryant. Also, Spencer Qualls was fourth in the 106-pound division and Drew Allen was fourth in the 220-pound level.
The Hornets are set to complete at home on Tuesday against Catholic High School in a conference dual match.
