LITTLE ROCK — The Bryant High School tennis team won three of four singles matches and a doubles match against North Little Rock on Tuesday, Sept. 22, at Rebsamen Park.
The team was set to play again on Thursday, Sept. 24, against Van Buren at Rebsamen.
In the girls singles matches, Bryant’s Stephanie Smith and Kristen Walter each won. Smith defeated Hali Wilder, 8-5, while Walter topped Erin Arendt, 8-4.
For the boys, Hayden Brown won the No. 1 singles match, 8-3, over Christian Chang. At No. 2 singles, Blake Cunningham absorbed a 4-8 loss to Chase Beavers of North Little Rock.
The Bryant doubles team of Landon Cobb and Caleb Plunkett won the No. 2 boys match, 8-7, over Hayden Buckley and Grant Smith.
In No. 1 doubles, North Little Rock’s Jackson Conner and Gray Huckaby edged Brady Moore and Broc Ingold, 8-5.
In girls doubles, Bryant’s Shelby Jones and Jayda Allen were defeated by Kylea Stoll and Mason Haromon at No. 1. Haylee Scott and Kaitelin Cotton were edged by North Little Rock’s Megan Hand and Madison Winter, 6-8, at No. 2.
