The Bryant Hornets open the 2014 golf season on Tuesday morning with a home match that includes Benton, Maumelle and North Little Rock at Hurricane Golf Club.
The boys’ team returns three of their five top finishers at last year’s conference and state tournaments.
“I am looking for a good season,” said Bryant coach Keith Dale. “We have a large number of boys who love the game of golf and compete on a day-to-day basis to be part of our top five.”
In the post-season, the Hornets’ top five included Nick Canale, Logan Moore and Luke Brantley. They return this season as seniors along with Peyton Sharp and Josiah Sprout.
Juniors on the team are Bryce Smith, Andrew Brown and Zach Byars. Sophomore Tanner Caton and freshmen Andrew Darbonne, Parker Littleton and Benjamin Warburton complete the squad.
For the Lady Hornets, Tiffany Robinson returns for her senior season along with Josie Hill. Sophomore Katy Edwards completes the roster.
“This is a rebuilding year for the girls,” Dale stated.
