Bryant High School Drama Department presents “The King’s New Clothes,” a short comedy based on Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Emperor’s New Clothes.”
The play will be presented[more] Sunday, Dec. 12 at 2 p.m. in the Love Auditorium which is in building nine on the Bryant High School Campus.
Cast and crew members are: Kyle Haynie- Light/Sound, Bailee Wittenburg- Narrator, Monica Miller- Flounce, Tori Lewis- Sibyl/Bounce, Heatherr Hughes- Mauren, Lauren Dunlap- Whimple, Chiquita Fortson- Doris, Drew Escarre- King Chalazion, Amanda Martin- Nowyadont, Christa Matthews- Nowyaseeit, Joseph Rapien- Gotcha, Jacob Hefner-Dimple/Borris, Jamie Hofmeister- Nip/Doreen, Sam Worley- Maurice, Shalynn Mills Tuck/Boreen, Kelsey Stephens- Queen Myopea, Brandii Robinson- Captain Pimple.
According to Rachel Arrington, Stage Management, “The King’s New Clothes is meant to amuse, but also to stimulate discussion about ‘pretending’ in order to fit in with a clique, and about other social issues like hierarchies and prejudice.”
