The Bryant Blue Hornets seventh grade team improved to 12-3 on the season Monday night by[more] outlasting the Morrilton Devil Pups in overtime, 38-36, at the Bethel Middle School gym.
In a B game, Bryant rolled to a 31-6 win.
Caylin Allen paced the Hornets with 14 points. Calvin Allen had 13 with Desmond Duckworth pitching in with 9. Jeffery Hastings scored 2.
Bryant Blue led most of the way. It was 12-6 after a quarter, 19-13 at the half and 25-22 going into the fourth quarter. But Morrilton caught up at the end and it went to the extra period tied 34-34.
In the B game, Hastings topped a list of eight Hornets that contributed the scoring. He had 11. Kade Endl finished with 5 while Dalton Bryant and Cameron Fox added 4. Blake Pennington, Dillon Medlock and Caleb Dorsey scored 2 each with Derrick Blake pitching in with a free throw.
Bryant Blue plays next on Thursday against Bryant White at Bryant Middle School.
