The Bryant Blue Lady Hornets seventh grade track team from Bethel Middle School competed in the Cabot Junior High Relays on Monday, April 5, and finished fifth with 68 points.
Highlights included event victories for Nikki Clay in the 300 hurdles with a time of 55.28 and Rachel Owens in the 200 meter dash in 28.47.[more]
Owens also turned in a second-place finish in the triple jump (26-6) while Mercedes Dillard finished second in the discus with a toss of 61 feet.Caroline Cato contributed a third-place finish in the 1600, finishing in 6:18, as well as the 800 with a time of 2:53.
According the Blue coach Melissa Bragg, the eighth grade team will be competing at Cabot today.
