The Bryant Blue Lady Hornets of Bethel Middle School struggled with their serves and focus on Monday night and the Lake Hamilton Junior Lady Wolves took advantage to win 25-20, 18-25, 15-11.[more]
“We weren’t focused the entire match except during the second game which we won,” stated Lady Hornets coach Melissa Bragg. “But Lake Hamilton was focused for the entire match and they came away with the win.
“The first game we could not keep our serve,” she mentioned.
The longest scoring run of the game for Bryant was three, put together with Mackenzie McEntire in service. Emily Henson came up with an ace during the game.
In the second game, Nikki Clay put together a four-point stint as server and Rachel Phillips had three. But, again, in the third game, the lone run of three was by Allysa Sturgeon.
“We are still missing a lot of serves,” Bragg said. “It’s hard to win when you give the other team unearned points.”
The Blue Lady Hornets travel to play Conway White on Thursday.
