The Bryant Blue Lady Hornets eighth grade team of Bethel Middle School captured their first win of the young 2016-17 season on Thursday night, overwhelming the Anthony School Lady Panthers, 30-7.
In a seventh grade game, the Anthony School prevailed 23-18.
In the victory for the eighth grade, Addison Funk led the way with 8 points. Ryleigh Laughlin scored 6 and Baylee Hutchison 5. Ashton Inman and Kattrina Johnson added 4 each and Abbey Inman scored 3.
For the seventh grade, Jade Rivers came through with 16 of Bethel’s points. Taryn Keim had the other 2.
Neither team will have another game until Tuesday, Nov. 29, when they travel to Russellville.
