LITTLE ROCK — The Bryant Blue Hornets eighth grade team of Bethel Middle School came from behind to earn a 38-35 win over Pulaski Robinson’s Junior Senators on Wednesday night in the Anthony School basketball tournament.
The Hornets’ seventh grade team absorbed a 23-17 loss to their hosts in what has become a round-robin tourney.
The eighth grade will play Little Rock Episcopal tonight and the seventh grade plays Pulaski Robinson.
Blue trailed 17-11 in the first half of the eighth grade battle.
“The kids played a great second half,” said Bethel coach Steve Wilson. “We weren’t together the first half but really turned it around and played as a team. Kaleb West hit several 3’s but also turned up his defense.”
