Bryant Blue Hornets seventh grade teams earned wins over their respective counterparts from Cabot South on Tuesday at the Bethel Middle School gym.
In an A game, Hayden Schrader scored 13 points to lead the Hornets to a 37-25 win. In a B game, the Hornets held down the Panthers in a 22-8 victory.
Along with Schrader, the A team’s scoring included 6 points from Hayden Purdy and 5 by Landon Nelson. Austin Schroeder scored 4 and Garet Wilson 3. Cameron Palmer, Brayden Godwin and Braden Robinson scored 2 apiece.
Bethel led 10-5 at the end of the first quarter and 20-14 at the half. It was 28-20 going into the fourth quarter.
Nine players contributed to the scoring in the B game for Bethel. Justin Orender scored 4 and Cameron McDonald 3. Ryan Riggs, Ethan Andrews, Palmer, Ethan Mathews, Will Hathcote and Caleb Redam scored 2 each. Will Hanson added a free throw.
