BENTON — The Benton Panthers eighth grade team got out to a 9-2 start by the end of the[more] first quarter on the way to a 34-15 win over the Bryant White Hornets eighth grade team of Bryant Middle School on Monday night.
Benton led 22-7 at the half and 31-13 going into the fourth quarter.
“We have shown improvement as a team but we still have some things to work on,” commented Hornets coach Heath Long. “I thought Kameron Guillory rebounded the ball very well during the time he was out there and Jake Scoggins also played well for us.”
Scoggins led the Hornets with 9 points.
Bryant White is now 2-2 going into the Thanksgiving break. The Hornets will play next at home against Lake Hamilton on Monday, Nov. 28, before heading to Bauxite on Tuesday, Nov. 29.
