BENTON —Bryant High School’s senior basketball players Houston Garner, Kyle Nossaman and Abbi Stearns will be a part of a[more] team made up of Saline County high school seniors that will take on former Razorbacks in a charity basketball game on Friday, June 3.
Everett Buick GMC and Leadership Saline County Class VI will be holding the 2nd annual “Razorbacks for Reading” charity game at 7 p.m., in the Benton High School Arena.
In order to raise money for Imagination Library of Saline County, Stearns, Nossaman and Garner will join senior basketball players from Benton, Bauxite, Harmony Grove, and Glen Rose in a match-up against former Razorbacks, including Lucas Miller, Pat Bradley, JJ Meadors, Matt Harris, Anthony Lucas, Sam Munsey, Chris Baker and Ernie Murry.
Entertainment between quarters will be provided by Leah’s Gymnastics Teams and the Hurricane Creek Elementary “Team of Tomorrow” ball handlers. Halftime entertainment will be provided by the national award-winning Bryant High School Dance team.
Adults can enter with a $6 donation, while kids may enter for $4. Concessions will be available, including drinks, pizza, popcorn and cookies. All proceeds go to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Saline County, which provides free books to preschool children throughout the area in order to improve literacy and foster a love of reading among local young people.
