Brandon Griffin, Parks Director for the City of Bryant, announced that the city will be hosting the Chick-Fil-A/Connect 3on3 Basketball Tournament to raise funds for youth.
This inaugural event will be held at Bishop Park and will benefit two local youth-centered organizations: Boys and Girls Club of Bryant and Team USA.
The basketball competition, to be held June 6 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., will feature three-on-three tournaments for boys and girls, sixth through 12th graders, as well as adult men and women. There will be cash prizes, a Slam Dunk, a Dream Team and 3-point contests as well as a $10,000 Hot Shot Contest. There will also be free activities at the Family Fun Zone.
“We are very grateful for our growing customer base and believe strongly in giving back to the community where ever we can — it’s is a must,” said Guy Parker, retired USAF Colonel who is the owner/operator of Chick-fil-A in Bryant. “I’ve served for more than four years as a board member for our local Boys and Girls Club. In fact, this organization is just one of the many non-profits we support. The Chick-fil-A Connect 3ON3 Basketball Tournament will be a great way to provide fun and entertainment, while raising money for two non-profits: Boys and Girls Club of Bryant and Team USA, two organizations that help ensure great futures for our local youth.”
