LITTLE ROCK — Diante Woodson, Matthew Sandidge and Luke Curtis each scored 8 points as the Bryant Blue Hornets eighth grade team of Bethel Middle School put together a 31-24 win over the Lighthouse Charter Wolves of Jacksonville Monday night.
The game opened the annual Wildcat Shootout Classic at Episcopal Collegiate for both teams. Bethel is set to return to action today at 5 p.m., against the host team. On Thursday, the Hornets wrap up the event against Arkansas Baptist at 5.
Bryant Blue trailed 8-6 after a quarter but got things going into the second period, out-scoring the Wolves 8-2. It was 20-15 going into the fourth quarter.
Along with Woodson, Sandidge and Curtis, the Hornets got 4 points from Brandon Shirlee and 3 from Keith West as they improved to 2-2 on the season.
