BENTON — On Friday, Feb. 13, Robin Gallo will perform a tribute to Reba McEntire at the Benton Event Center. The show, “An Evening with Reba,” has been seen in many cities across the country. This will be the first time the show has been seen in Arkansas.
Gallo, who will be accompanied by a seven-piece band, started singing at an early age alongside her two older sisters. She left her Arkansas home after high school and has traveled worldwide entertaining audiences with her smooth powerful vocals.
For many years, she has been based out of Orlando, Fla., working as an entertainer at both Universal Studios and Disney World as well as other venues across the nation. Over the years she has been in quite a few successful regional bands and has opened for George Benson, KC and the Sunshine Band, Kenny Rogers as well as others.
By chance in 1995, she got a call from a panicked agent in Biloxi, Miss., wanting her to do a “Reba” tribute show due to the regular performer being ill. Little did she know at the time that she would be doing these shows for many more years.
Tickets for the event can be purchased at www.facebook.com/simmonsistersband or at the door for $15. For more information or inquiries, contact Eddy Bowman at 501-517-1880.
