Two bomb-sniffing dogs and their handlers from Little Rock Air Force Base and the Bryant Police Department gave the “all-clear” Tuesday afternoon to students and faculty to return to Bryant Middle School and Bryant Elementary School. Both buildings were evacuated due to a bomb threat discovered early on Tuesday.
During the evacuation, Bryant Police Investigators started interviewing witnesses to the incident, which led to a potential suspect who later confessed to leaving the threat. The suspect confirmed with Investigators that there was no bomb in the school. It is unclear at this time what the motives were for leaving the message. Due to being a juvenile, the suspect’s name cannot be released.
The suspect was taken into custody and will be charged with:
Communicating a False Alarm which is a Class D Felony.
