Dear friends,
We laid Dad to rest on Tuesday, April 22, at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville. Many thanks to all who extended their condolences, prayers and love to our family.
It was a day Dad would’ve loved: Warm but not hot, hardly a cloud in the sky, a slight breeze and plenty of dogwoods and redbuds in full bloom. It was, of course, a bittersweet day as we reunited with family and friends, many of whom we hadn’t seen or talked to in years. It was a fine tribute to Dad and all the lives he touched, and a comfort to Mom.
Special thanks to Father John Antony for a beautiful Mass and homily, to all of those at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church who were so gracious, and to Beard’s Funeral Home.
I’ve written about Dad in the past, particularly here.
For those that missed the obituary, it’s here.
I miss him more than I can express. I was so blessed to have him for my Dad. Thank God for Bob Patrick. May he rest in peace, in the warm glow of the love of God in Heaven.

Sorry for your loss! Time heals, but, it is only by the Grace of God that we endure!
