Pat Bradley, a former Razorback basketball player of record-setting fame and current host of In The Zone radio show on the BUZZ, is the featured speaker for the Bryant Area Chamber of Commerce’s 38th Annual Winter Banquet on[more] Tuesday, Feb. 1 at The Center at Bishop Park.
The event is sponsored by Everett Buick GMC. Silent Auction will begin at 5:15 p.m. and the dinner will be at 6:15 p.m.
Bradley was a four time letterman for the Razorbacks from 1996-1999. By the time he left, he had set the University of Arkansas and Southeastern Conference all-time records for three point field goals made (366) and attempted (915). His Southeastern Conference record was subsequently broken in 2008 by Chris Lofton of the University of Tennessee.
Bradley also set an SEC record with a three point field goal in 60 consecutive games and ranks in the top ten on the NCAA career list for three pointers. He is 5th on the UA scoring list with 1,765 points.A two time All- SEC performer, he also played professional basketball in Denmark and France and for a brief time with the Arkansas Rimrockers. Currently a sports talk radio host for 103.7 the BUZZ, he is on air from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with Justin ”no neck” Acri and “Freaky “ Joe Franklin.
He will speak on being “In the Zone” with a “Focus on Bryant” at the banquet.
The Bryant Area Chamber of Commerce Banquet is the largest gathering of professional and business people in the Bryant area of the year. The committee expects a crowd of more than 400 people at the new Center at Bishop Park. “We are excited to hold our banquet at this new facility which is such a nice attraction for Bryant,” noted Allison Ramsey of Staffmark , Winter Banquet Committee Chairman.
Member of the Year, Company of the Year and Ambassador of the Year will be announced at theBanquet. A silent auction will provide a forum for local businesses and organizations to showcase theirservices, goods or products. “We do the silent auction as a fund raiser for the Chamber, but it alsofunctions as a way for attention to be drawn to a business. Your message can come across loud andclear with the selection of the right item,” noted Anastasia Taylor of Metropolitan Bank, subcommittee chair for the Silent Auction.
“Certainly anyone in the community may contribute to the silent auction and anyone in the community may attend the Winter Banquet,” noted Taylor. Several key pieces of interest have been donated to the silent auction by community friends in the past, she said.
The menu for the night, catered by Dinner’s Ready, is Raspberry Chipotle Glazed Pork Loin, Parmesan Roasted New Potatoes, Spring Vegetable Mix, Salad, Garlic Cheddar Biscuit, Devils Food Chocolate Cake, Lemon Bars, tea and coffee.
Tickets are $27.50 per individual or $25.00 each if a table of eight is reserved.
