RUSSELLVILLE — The Bryant Lady Hornets freshman volleyball team will make a return trip to Russellville on Saturday, after they played there on Thursday night.
The hope things go better on Saturday.
On Thursday, the Lady Whirlwinds handed the Lady Hornets an 18-25, 12-25 loss, finishing with a flourish in the second game.
It was Bryant’s fourth loss in six matches so far this season.
The Lady Hornets were limited to just two kills, both by Kristin Boyle, though they were 16 of 19 on their attacks. Imanii Jones served for two aces and Meagan Chism and Madi Draper each had one. Draper was good on 8 of her 9 serves.
Boyle also had two blocks. So did Faith Stone. Jones had one.
Ray led the team with nine digs. Karlee Kindy, Becca Wertenberger and Chism had two each.
