After being held on the fourth Saturday of September for 24 years, the Silver Anniversary Fall Fest is[more] going to be Saturday, Oct. 6, at Bishop Park.
With the annual Salt Bowl football game between Bryant and Benton and all the events surrounding it, Fall Fest was moved back a week.
Fall Fest is a community showcase highlighting Bryant’s businesses, schools, groups, clubs and talents with contests, entertainment, food and exhibits.
The day starts with a pancake breakfast inside the Senior Adult Center from 7 to 11 a.m. At 10, the annual Fall Fest parade will officially get the festival underway. There will be an antique car and truck show hosted by Rock City Cruisers.
At 11, the duct tape boat race will take place. Bryant Chamber of Commerce executive director Rae Ann Fields has announced that additional cash prizes will be awarded:
Adult Division for 1st place – $150 and trophy
Youth Division for 1st place – $150 and trophy
Most Creative – $100 and duct tape winners’ ribbon
Entertainment will be ongoing throughout the day with the festival concluding with a fireworks display at dusk (around 8 p.m.).
