Hornets find a way to get past Russellville for third straight win

RUSSELLVILLE — On most occasions, when a baseball team leaves 16 runners on base, it’s a bitter pill. A night of tossing and turning ensues, recalling missed opportunities and the one that got away.

But, for the streaking Bryant Hornets on Thursday against the Russellville Cyclones, 16 LOB’s wasn’t the difference between winning and losing. It wound up being the difference in a close win and what could’ve been a much easier time.

The main thing is, they found a way to capture their third straight victory, climbing over the Cyclones in the 7A-Central standings with 6-4 decision at Hickey Park.

This “R.W.” Bryant’s our Pet of the Week. R.W. is a Domestic Shorthaired Cat, he is approximately 8-10 months old and loves everyone he meets! He enjoys playing ball and nibbling on fingers. He likes to play rough, so older kids are a must for this guy. If you have an energetic family and want a cat that keep up with you, R.W. is your man!
